Alaska offers multiple ways for residents to register to vote, including online, by mail, or in person.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be a resident of Alaska.
- Be at least 18 years old or turn 18 by Election Day.
- Not be a convicted felon (unless your voting rights have been restored).
- Not have been declared mentally incapacitated by a court.
Registration Methods:
- Online Registration:
- Visit the Alaska Online Voter Registration Portal to register to vote or update your information.
- You will need a valid Alaska driver’s license or state ID.
- By Mail:
- Download the Alaska Voter Registration Form.
- Mail the completed form to the Division of Elections office. You can find the mailing address on the Division of Elections website.
- In Person:
- You can Register to Vote in Alaska at any Division of Elections office, the DMV, or while applying for the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD).
Registration Deadline:
- You must register 30 days before Election Day to vote in that election.
Confirm Your Registration:
- After registering, check your voter status using the Alaska My Voter Information portal.
