Colorado offers several ways to register to vote, including online, by mail, or in person. The state also has same-day voter registration, allowing you to register and vote on Election Day.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be a resident of Colorado for at least 22 days before the election.
- Be at least 18 years old by Election Day.
- Not serving a prison sentence for a felony conviction.
Registration Methods:
- Online Registration:
- Use the Colorado Online Voter Registration System to register or update your voter information.
- You will need a valid Colorado driver’s license or state ID.
- By Mail:
- Download and complete the Colorado Voter Registration Form.
- Mail the form to your county clerk and recorder’s office. You can find addresses on the Secretary of State’s website.
- In Person:
- Register in person at your county clerk’s office, DMV, or designated voter service centers. Colorado allows same-day voter registration, meaning you can register and vote on Election Day.
Registration Deadline:
- You can register online, by mail, or in person up to 8 days before Election Day to receive a mail ballot.
- You can also register and vote in person on Election Day at any polling place.

- After registering, check your voter registration status using the Find My Voter Registration Tool on the Colorado Secretary of State’s website.
