Florida residents can register to vote online, by mail, or in person at several locations. Here’s how you can register.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be a resident of Florida.
- Be at least 18 years old by Election Day (you can pre-register at 16 or 17).
- Not be convicted of a felony, unless your voting rights have been restored.
- Not have been declared mentally incapacitated with respect to voting by a court.
Registration Methods:
- Online Registration:
- Register online using the Florida Online Voter Registration System.
- You’ll need a valid Florida driver’s license or state ID and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
- By Mail:
- Download and fill out the Florida Voter Registration Application.
- Mail the completed form to your local county Supervisor of Elections. Addresses are available on the Division of Elections website.
- In Person:
- Register in person at your local Supervisor of Elections office, DMV, or participating state agencies.
- You can also register during local voter registration drives organized by civic groups.
Registration Deadline:
- The deadline to register to vote in Florida is 29 days before Election Day.

- After registering, you can confirm your voter registration status using the Voter Information Lookup tool on the Florida Division of Elections website.
