Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be a resident of Georgia.
- Be at least 18 years old by Election Day (you can pre-register at 17 ½ years old).
- Not be serving a sentence for a felony involving moral turpitude (voting rights can be restored after completion of sentence).
- Not have been declared mentally incompetent by a court.
Registration Methods:
- Online Registration:
- Register using the Georgia Online Voter Registration System.
- You’ll need a valid Georgia driver’s license or state ID.
- By Mail:
- Download and fill out the Georgia Voter Registration Form.
- Mail the completed form to your county Board of Registrars. Addresses are available on the Secretary of State’s website.
- In Person:
- You can register in person at your local county registrar’s office, DMV, or other designated state agencies.
- Voter registration drives conducted by civic organizations are also a popular option for in-person registration.
Registration Deadline:
- The deadline to register to vote is 28 days before Election Day.
