Missouri residents can register to vote online, by mail, or in person. The state does not offer same-day voter registration, so make sure to register ahead of time.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be a resident of Missouri.
- Be at least 18 years old by Election Day (you can pre-register at 17 ½, but must be 18 to vote).
- You are not convicted of a felony related to voting, unless voting rights have been restored.
- You are not declared incapacitated by a court.
Registration Methods:
- Online Registration:
- Register online using the Missouri Online Voter Registration Portal.
- You will need a valid Missouri driver’s license or state ID.
- By Mail:
- Complete the Missouri Voter Registration Application.
- Mail the form to your local election authority. A list of county election authorities can be found on the Missouri Secretary of State’s website.
- In Person:
- Register in person at your local election authority, DMV, or public assistance offices.
- Various organizations across the state hold Voter registration drives.
Registration Deadline:
- The deadline to register is 27 days before Election Day. Be sure to submit your application before this deadline to be eligible to vote.
